The William Moersch Signature Series is a warm marimba mallet series wrapped with a birch handle and gray yarn. These mallets have rubber cores, providing a less articulate, darker tone that puts focus on the fundamental pitch and provides less articulation.

This hard version of the mallet is wrapped with little yarn to have clear articulation in the top register of the keyboard.
